Four eagles landed at Lake Coniston and commenced a soaring recci of the mountains. Darren, Mike, Phil and Nick are spending the weekend in the Lake District doing some mountain walking and kit trials prior to trip in a few days time. The outlook for Saturday is -5deg C and 40mph wind so should be good prep for Kilimanjaro. Preparatory talks about Saturdays expedition have started in the pub and, strangely, the proposal is becoming every more outrageous as the evening cintonews.............

Sicknote and I are preparing for an assault up and down Box Hill non-stop for up to 6 hours tomorrow so that should put us in good stead for Kili. Outlook is between -1deg C and 6deg C with wind speed at 5mph so not too bad - will still test the kit all the same.
I have now hit my £10,000 sponsorship target so, in time-honoured style, have increased my target to £12,500.
Move it on chaps!
